Artist to Love: PaperFashion & Her Shadow Dancers

Katie Rodgers, also known as Paper Fashion, is a fashion illustrator currently based in New York. Her work has been commissioned by brands such as Cartier, Valentino, Swarovski and Kate Spade.

Dancing Figures Everywhere – PaperFashion

Katie Rodgers primarily uses watercolors and acrylics to paint. I’ve always loved the use of mixed media in editorial designs. Here’s her paintings for Genlux magazine:

In recent years, she has evolved into shadow dancers – beautiful abstract dancing characters in different forms and places. Sometimes, they get turned into animations too, very intriguing to see!
